I'm just not the audience for games like this.

It's got me thinking about how I play games though. Can I just play, or do I need constant engagement/feedback from a game? Is it because my imagination is not up to the job? If someone handed you a book with blank pages, would you fill them yourself or go pick up something else?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4625171860671748699.post-29117729932734694132009-02-22T23:04:00.000-08:002009-02-22T23:04:00.000-08:00Yeah, I went through the reviews at MetaCritic bef...Yeah, I went through the reviews at MetaCritic before I bought the game and I have to say, I really don't understand what it was they got out of it. It seems like a very simple environment with very simple interactions, and nothing more. It's cute in the same way that KD was, but KD was very clearly a game. NNB is just like… a place. A thing. An exercise in electronic construction, but little else. It's not even like it's really that fun to mess around. Once the worm gets too long, it's very tough to control it with any degree of accuracy, not to mention the camera flat-out sucks. I'm all for people creating things outside of the norm, but I'm also going to call bullshit on things that deserve it. NNB, to me, seems like bullshit.Brad Gallawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09452185302281177580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4625171860671748699.post-79557763576749657332009-02-22T18:12:00.000-08:002009-02-22T18:12:00.000-08:00I've got similar feelings for Noby Noby Boy, as we...I've got similar feelings for Noby Noby Boy, as well as most other "make your own fun" games. I guess I just don't have the imagination required to fully enjoy the genre in the way that is intended. Might still stick around until the moon is unlocked, just to see what changes (if any) are introduced.

Have you seen Eurogamer's review of Noby? They apparently loved it to death.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
